LE DOMAINE DES FINES CAILLOTTES
100% Pinot Noir grape variety is used.
Harvested from the vineyards of Verdigny, the terroir is limestone-clay (kimmeridgian marl).
The vatting lasts 10 days. The end of the alcoholic fermentation and then the malolactic fermentation take place
in tanks. The maturing on malolactic lees lasts several months.
Sancerre red "La Merisière" 2014 :
On the nose, this garnet-coloured, red Sancerre delivers up fruity cherry notes, charactistic of the Pinot Noir grape
variety, complemented by spicy notes. Soft on entry, the wine fills the palate and is underpinned by silky tannins.
FOOD AND WINE MATCH :
Serve with cold cuts, red meat, grilled meat, cheese.
SERVING ADVICE :
Serve at around 16-18°C. Drink within 2-5 years following the harvest.
